This was not to be an ordinary wedding. That became clear when I was ushered from my car directly to the shooting range. The start of the day was to be skeet shooting. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a set of earplugs.
The venue was the famous West Branch Angler and Resort in Hancock New York. As I have been an avid fly fisherman, I was familiar with the location. The mood had added beauty as you watch the river boats floating by with fly fisherman casting for trout. It did seem though that many of the fishermen were quite distracted by the wedding party on the bank.
From the thunder of the rifles, we moved to the log cabins with the groom and his groomsmen were readying for the affair.
